Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an evidence-based stress reduction technique that combines body/mind awareness with statements of emotions and intent.

Energy can become stagnant or ‘stuck’ at the area of injury or emotional trauma projected to that spot. EFT provides a method to release emotional turmoil such as a belief, event, sensation or emotion and desensitises your response to it. Often times this creates awareness of underlying core thoughts and beliefs.

EFT is to gently tap along acupuncture points or energy lines whilst focusing on those emotions. Giving this attention to the issue can result in a reduction of cortisol, a stress hormone in the body, and bring you to a feeling of calm and being present.

Some of the areas EFT can help with:
Stress
Releasing ‘stuck’ emotions like anxiety, sadness, anger, guilt, frustration
Physical pain
Food cravings and emotional eating
Resolve financial blocks
Phobias or other fears
PTSD
Insomnia
Self-esteem

We work together to uncover the core issue and remove any blocks. I teach you how to use EFT as your own self-help tool to address stressors as they arise.

How many sessions will I need?
Generally, you have a minimum of 3 sessions which allows us to address the layered beliefs we hold. I will contact you in between sessions to check-in and see how you are doing. Remember, we are working together as a team.

Can the sessions be held online?
Absolutely, I hold sessions on Zoom. As long as we can see each other so that I can demonstrate the techniques.

How long will the benefits last?
The beauty of EFT is that benefits are permanent. If something is not working as you had hoped then there could be some beliefs around that issue that need to be brought to the surface. I can help you with that.

Emotional Freedom Technique is a NDIS approved treatment.
